Spirituality That Invites Joy

About Laura (she/her): I found freedom, playfulness, and peace after leaving a harmful decades-long marriage, moving across the country to New York City, and completing seminary in my late fifties! Through impromptu dancing, scribbling as art, study of Womanist theology & decolonial spiritual care practices, and running through city parks, I now find most joy in the accompaniment of others who seek liberatory healing. Freedom to grieve. Freedom to play! My heart is especially close to BIPOC spiritual seekers, LGBTQIA+ folks, and women & femmes seeking wholeness & liberation.

Growing in your spirituality can mean finding liberation through play, through creative expression, through movement—whether humming softly or leaping for joy! The divine to be found in the natural world, in ancestral wisdom, and within your own body may be wriggling its way to the surface in ways that you were conditioned to believe were not sacred at all.

Shall we explore together how grief might be held, how harmful relationship experiences can be moved past, and how Spirit is calling you to your most expansive and joyful expression?

I would be delighted to accompany you to RSVP to your own internal invitations; to recognize what is sacred movement in your thoughts and dreams; and to respond with hope and laughter to glimmers of the holy in rustling leaves, sparkling stars, or scurrying creatures. You are invited to joy!
